We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and matriarch, Mathurine John-Jn Louis, affectionately known as Vayvay or Miss Bahcan, of Cantonement, Augier, Vieux Fort, who passed away on March 13th, 2026, at the age of 86.

The Funeral Mass of the late Mathurine John–Jn Louis, affectionately known as Vayvay or Miss Bahcan, will be held at the Sacred Heart Parish, Marchand, on Thursday, April 16th, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment at the Forestière Cemetery. A coaster will depart the bus shelter in upper Cantonement at 11:30 a.m. sharp for the Sacred Heart Parish. Transportation from Forestière will depart at 1:00 p.m. sharp.
The body now lies at Rambally's Funeral Parlor, Calvary Road, Castries.
