The death is announced of our beloved uncle, Hilbert Charles, affectionately known as Abor, Ti bot or Miles of La Perle Salltibus, who resided in La Ressource Vieux Fort. He passed away on September 4th 2025 at approximately 11:20 pm at the Owen King European Union Hospital at the age of 66 years.
Hilbert was predeceased by his parents Angelic and Ferguson Charles
His sisters Beverlyna Smith, Irene, Mary Julitta and Catherine Charles
He leaves behind;
His uncle Medrick also known as E pal of Jetrine Saltibus
His son Ronnie Alcindor and his daughter Amelia Alcindor
His daughter Sherline Gabriel and her children Sherwin Gabriel of Bagatelle and Juannique Gabriel and Jervais Pascal who reside in Barbados
His godson and nephew, Aird Smith, and his daughters Suneila and Servina
His niece Tenia Charles and children Jaivonne Jh, Hippolyte and Renei Hippolyte
His niece Jarlin Charles and her son, Jah
His niece Nyla Smith and sons Ezekiel and Nyahri
His nephew Gaius Charles
His nephew Third Smith and sons Menelik and Ishmael
Also left to mourn are:

His brother in law Romiel Gabriel also known as Fire tons
Ms Lyn of La Ressource, Vieux Fort
His cousins Martina and Gabriel Charles and their families
The members of the Smith family
The Louis Family of Laborie
The Charles family
The members of the communities of La Perle, Londonderry and Saltibus
Many relatives and acquaintances too numerous to mention
The farewell service for Abor will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Rambally’s Chapel, La Tourney, Vieux Fort and the body will be laid to rest at the La Tourney Cemetery.
His body now lies at Rambally’s Funeral Parlour, La Tourney, Vieux Fort.
May his soul rest in perpetual peace.
